How To Download Free Books On Android Tablet

Posted onby

Here is a helpful step by step outline of how to download the audio-book onto your Android powered device like a tablet or smart phone. This guide will also work for any other audio-book we sell.

Step 2 Purchase (free) Kindle books to an Android phone/tablet (Internet connection required). If you don't have any Kindle book, you can find many free books or purchase some books on Amazon website. Just tap the 'Store' button at the bottom to go to the Kindle ebook store. Step 3 Download (free) Kindle books to Android phone/tablet. An Android tablet, or some sort of portable device that accepts ePub format. Install Adobe Digital editions, you can skip to next step if you have already installed. To get your epub ready to remove DRM protection, you must add DRM epub into Adobe Digital editions library if you download DRM epub from 3rd program other than Digital.

Important: Please understand that phone and tablet technology changes rapidly. Because of this there may be some slight differences in the way you do things on your personal device. You can always search Google with phrases like, 'How to download a file on Samsung Galaxy S5' to learn more.

Step 4 - A page will load where you can start listening to the audio. Click on the download arrow as shown below:

TIP: The download arrow will only appear after you press the play button.

Step 6 - The download is big so give your phone some time to finish downloading it. We highly suggest you download the audio-book on a strong internet connection (like home WiFi) and not your mobile phone connection.

Once it is downloaded you will see it listed as a recent download. You can swipe down on your phone and see it, like in the screenshot below.

Step 7 - Click on the new file, you may be asked what program you want to use to play the audio-book. Different phones / tablets will come installed with different music players but they should all work the same. I selected Sound Player and had no problems.

You can then tap 'Just Once' if you want to pick a new player later, or 'Always' if you want to use that same player as your regular music player.

Step 8 - Your Audio-book will now play. It is saved on your device so you can listen to it anytime.

Step 9 - Lets assume that you download more files in the future and the audio-book is no longer shown at the top of your phone when you swipe down. Don't worry the audio-book is still on your device. Listening to the audio-book from downloads is still very easy.

Click on the apps icon on your phone. Then go find the downloads icon. Click on that and you will see a list of all your downloaded files. The audiobook should be shown in this list.

Tablets come with a big display and any video or movie experience becomes more enjoyable due to this. We also store our videos, music and important data like documents and ebooks on the tablets which eat up the space. Sometime even the SD card is insufficient and you need to move some files from your Android tablet to your computer to free up some space. That is also a good method to keep a backup of your Android tablet data. Anyway, you need a comprehensive program which lets you transfer everything from your Android tablet to PC or Mac computer without any restriction.
